FAQ
Q: I posted a comment in the blog area quite a while ago, but do not see it.
A: As I do tend to write in my spare time I may not be able to get on here as often as I would like to update things. This may be a few days or even a few weeks delay depending on my schedule.
Also, comments are moderated. While I accept pro and con statements, they should to be specific to my novels. If you write "It sucks" or even "It's great" then that probably will not be posted. However, if you say something like "I hated the way you killed off character X because..." or "I loved the dinner scene with X and Y due to the ..." then those will probably make it. Please do not include web links or other HTML codes. Also, please do not send story ideas or book suggestions. They will be deleted unread.
I subscribe to the English public house slogan of "No politics or religion please" and ask that comments be respectful of others, even if they do disagree with you. I do reserve the right to remove or modify any material on this site without notice (Well, I suppose you are receiving notice now).

Q: What order should I read the Legionnaire series?
A: The Legionnaire: Mask of the Pharaoh was written first and intended to be the center of the trilogy. It was designed as a stand alone novel and does not need to be read with any of the others. For those who want more background on Stephen Anderson's past, you can start with The Legionnaire: Origins. This novel explains his time with the French Foreign Legion, the circumstances that forced him to leave and his early interactions with the nefarious Colonel Rochon and Adjudant Chef Rodin. The Legionnaire: Vendetta of Shadows will bring the first two books to their inevitable conclusion.
Q: You write action, mystery, and science fiction novels? Why not focus on just one?
A: As a teenager, I would read every night and got through a book a day on average. They varied from historical non-fiction, fantasy, sci-fi, mystery, war novels, spy thrillers, etc. Whether it was set in a distant star system, the Roman Senate or just down the block, it was the story that held my attention. I do love sci-fi and that would be my favorite genre, but I also like challenges and writing outside my comfort zone is always a great way to develop my skills as an author. In the end, the story matters much more than the genre it is set in to me.
Q: Why does The Legionnaire: Vendetta of Shadows not have a gold seal like the rest of the books in the series? Was that book not good enough to get one?
A: The Red Adept Select program was cancelled while The Legionnaire: Vendetta of Shadows was in final edit. It is therefore not eligible to display the RAS gold seal. No future novels will have the seal either. Any novel that received the seal, may still display it, but no new books will be chosen for the honor.
